Infinity Scarf
Thursday, January 19th:
7-8pm
Create a cool accessory to wear year round. You will paint a jersey fringed scarf
with assorted paints and printmaking techniques. We'll use spray paint, stamps, and blocks of
everyday items that will give color and definition to your scarf. Please wear old clothes as
paints are permanent. There is a $1 materials fee. Registration begins January 5.

Funtastic Cupcakes
Thursday, February 16th:
7-8pm
Decorate cupcakes using colorful
frosting, pastry bags, and the star tip. Decorate for Valentines Day or any theme you like.

Community Service for Young
Adults
There will be four SHELF HELP sessions between January and April 2012 for young
adults in grades 7 to 10. Each session will have 5 positions. Students will be straightening and
arranging books in alphabetical and numerical order on the shelves. Young adults are needed for 90
minutes a week for four weeks, totaling 6 hours of community service. Schedules will be arranged
between the young adult and Young Adult Services.
Young adults must fill out an
application in person in the YA Room. You may only apply for one session. Young Adults with a
specific community service need will be considered first. The sessions are:
Session I January 10 - January 30
Session II February 1 – February 28
Session III March 1 – March 21
Session IV April 16-May 4
