KAPLAN FREE PRACTICE SAT
Saturday September 11 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
A representative from Kaplan, the leading test prep company, will be coming to the library to administer a full length Practice SAT exam to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The four hour practice exam will cover all three sections of the test reading, writing, and math. Juniors and Seniors can register ar the YA desk starting August 27. Sophomores can sign up starting September 3. Limited to 50 students.
SAT TEST SECRETS SEMINAR
Thursday September 16 7 to 8 pm
In this seminar, students and parents will discover the keys to success on the SAT: test format, strategies, and practice questions. Students who took the prace exam on September 11 will receive their results as well as an over view of the college admission process. Parents are encouraged to attend with their teens. DUCK YOUR FINES BINGO
During July and August you will have an opportunity to reduce the fines you accumulated during 2009-2010 by playing DUCK YOUR FINES BINGO. Complete each activity on the board and get five across, down, or diagonally and get $5.00 removed from your record and get a raffle for the Grand Prize drawing of completely erasing all fines incurred before July 1, 2010. YOUNG ADULTS WHO NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE
For young adults who like to write send us a book review for our YA BOOK LOG. The review should be about 250 words and include a short summary, who should read this book, and your name, grade and school. We accept one review a month from an individual teen. For your review YA Services will send the reviewer a certificate for one hour community service.
