Computers & Equipment at the Library
| Public Access Computers |
 The library has several computers available for public use. They are accessible on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remember to bring your library card or identification with you when visiting the library and a if you need to save your work.• Internet sessions are limited to one hour at a time. • Computers in the Children's Room are intended for the use of children in Kindergarten through Grade 6. • Computers in the Young Adult Room may be used by patrons in Grade 6 through Grade 12. • Reference Department computers are available to users in Grade 6 and those older. Software Available: Internet Explorer 8 web browser; Firefox 3 web browser; Microsoft Word 2003; Microsoft Excel 2003; Microsoft PowerPoint 2003; Microsoft Publisher 2003; Microsoft Access 2003; WinWay Resume Deluxe (Reference Desk and Job Information Center computers). Accessibility: Large Print Keyboard and available (at one Research Databases, one Internet, and one Word Processing station). |
| CCTV Magnifier |
| A video magnifier is avaialble at the Reference Desk to aid low vision users. |
| Printers |
| All public internet computers are connected to a networked monochrome laser printer. Color printing is also available in Reference and the Young Adult Room. All public computer users may print up to five black and white pages per day at no cost. Additional black and white printing is charged for at ten cents per page. Color charge is twenty-five cents per page (no free color pages). |
| Typewriter |
| An electric typewriter is available for public use in the Reference Department. |
| Fax Services |
| The copier located in the Reference Department can be used to transmit a document via fax to a domestic number. Cost is $1.35 per page. |
| Scanner |
| A color flatbed scanner is available for use in the Reference Department. |
| Copiers |
| There are copiers located near the Circulation and Reference Desks. The cost for a black & white copy is 15 cents. Color copying is available on the same machine at a cost of 45 cents per page. All copiers accept coins, $1 bills, and bulk copy cards (which are sold at the Circulation Desk). |
| Microfilm & Microfiche Reader/Printer |
| Two film readers are available in the Reference Department. They accept 16mm and 35mm film as well as fiche. Printing from microfilm/microfiche is available at a cost of ten cents per page. |
